Since 1982, Landscape Collaborative has offered exceptional garden maintenance, landscape construction, lawn care, and snow removal services to residential clients throughout the Greater Boston area. In 2018, Robert Hanss bought Landscape Collaborative. Robert has run an award-winning residential landscape construction company, Robert Hanss Inc. since 1991 and is known for creating beautifully crafted gardens and fine masonry. In 2019, Catherine Brownlee joined Landscape Collaborative. Together they have built upon Landscape Collaborative’s legacy of thoughtful gardening and exceptional client services.

At Landscape Collaborative, every client is paired with a specific crew to offer a consistent, tailored gardening experience. We offer weekly or bi-monthly caretaker-quality services. This includes lawn care, seasonal clean-up, perennial/annual care, irrigation, tree work, pest control, fertilization, and seasonal containers. In addition, we offer specialized horticulture and event services for clients who want to showcase their garden—from sourcing rare plants for a garden tour to hanging lights and cleaning the grill prior to your Fourth of July blow-out.

Beyond maintenance, Landscape Collaborative offers both construction and landscape design services. We work closely with clients to fulfil their aesthetic goals and needs for their landscape with a note to both budget and timeline. We’ve worked with landscape architects, builders, conservation commissions and city planning boards to bring designs to completion. We love creating spaces, paths, and programmed areas that pull you into the garden and make you want to stay.
